The herbs in this blend have traditionally been used to "open" the liver. The Dandelion Root, Ginger and Mugwort may stimulate the flow and production of bile, while the Burdock Root and Fennel support the overall function of this essential organ. Milk thistle is highly valued for its positive effect on the liver!
Ingredients
Contains: Organic Dandelion Root, Organic Burdock Root, Organic Mugwort Herb, Organic Fennel Seed, Organic Ginger Root, and Organic Milk Thistle Seed
Suggested Use
Measure out 1oz (2 Tablespoons) of tea and simmer in 5 pints of water for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes before bottling and drinking. You should have 1/4 to 1/2 cups of warm tea three times daily. For convenience, make 1 quart of tea at a time (keeping relative proportions of herbs the same) and store in refrigerator. Always warm up the tea before drinking it.
For best results, use 10 days on and 10 days off for three months.
Liver Flush
- Mix any fresh squeezed citrus juices together to make 1 cup of liquid. Oranges and grapefruit are good, but always mix in some lemon or lime. The final mix should have a sour taste, the more sour, the more cleansing and activating. The mixture can be watered down with spring or distilled water.
- Add 1-2 cloves of fresh squeezed garlic, plus a small amount of fresh ginger juice, which you can make by grating fresh ginger and then pressing in a garlic press.
- Mix in 1 tablespoon of high quality olive oil, blend or shake well in a glass container and drink.
- Follow the Liver Flush with 2 cups of Liver Decongestant Tea
Drink the Liver Flush in the morning; do not eat any other food for 1 hour. The Liver Flush can be taken in cycles of 10 days on and 3 days off.
